Core activities
The core activities of LD & Co consist of tailored in-company training sessions, offering a mix of interactive presentations and workshops. The objectives of these workshops is to teach the participants the basics of effective account planning and how to develop account plans in a structured and well-founded way.
Specifically, the following topics are covered in the training sessions:
- How to create maximum synergy between marketing strategies & plans, and Point-of-Sales activities?
- How to set priorities among distribution channels and among retailers, and how to reflect these priorities in account plans?
- How to assess the business situation and how to define business opportunities?
- What does true retailer and shopper understanding mean and how to develop this understanding?
- What data do you need to develop a well-founded account plan and how to get this data in the most effective way?
- How to develop breakthrough account plans, addressing the detected opportunities?
- ...
The training program is tailored to the specific needs of the client and make intensive use the available business data (marketing, sales fundamentals, retail and shopper insights,…). The trainings consist of 2 to 3 one-day interactive sessions, and is usually preceded by a couple of preparatorion meetings and buy-in sessions.
The training sessions might be followed by:
- Supervision and coaching of the competence implementation within the commercial organisation of manufacturers
- Individual coaching sessions to assist category managers, trade marketeers,… in their role
- Supervision and coaching of commercial projects between manufacturers and retailers (e.g. PPC, Category management,..)
- Helping manufacturers in defining their information and data needs in the context of their work with retailers and how to collect this data in the most effective way.
- Being an intermediary and facilitator between different manufacturers to jointly address business opportunities at certain retailers
