LD&Co is headed by Luc Desmedt and offers services built on more than 20 years of expertise and hands-on experience. The core activities of LD & Co are delivered by Luc Desmedt, in collaboration with a network of carefully selected expert partners.  These partners either play an active role in the delivery of the consulting & training services, or provide expert information and inspiration, enabling LD&Co to consistently offer state-of-the-art knowledge and expertise.

Where the passion begins

Luc Desmedt

Founder - Managing Director

For 15 years, Luc held senior positions in brand and marketing management and key account management at P&G, building and implementing the strategies for the iconic household brands. He played a pioneering role in the worldwide development of shopper marketing within P&G.


As managing director of Retail Insights, now part of market research agency and consultancy group Kantar TNS, Luc developed consulting and training services on building sales and trade marketing competences and strategies.


Luc is member of the board of Fairtrade Belgium.


Luc holds a Master in Marketing from Vlerick Business School (Gent, Belgium) and a Master in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp. He is fluent in Dutch, English and French.

Véronique Claerbout

Associate Partner

Veronique joined LD&Co in 2013 as an associate partner. A driven professional who built up her valuable expertise in sales, trade- and customer marketing during more than 20 years working for prime brands such as plant-based foods and drinks manufacturer Alpro, the nr. 1 Belgian pasta and flour brand Soubry and the European fresh food group Ter Beke.


Clients praise her experience based approach, combining well-founded knowledge with hands-on support during the execution of category management and shopper marketing projects.


Veronique holds a MSc in Biochemical Engineering from Ghent University. She is fluent in Dutch, French and English.

Eric Verbeiren

Associate Partner

Eric started in consultancy at Nielsen. He enjoyed exiting challenges at Kraft Foods/Mondelēz, Ter Beke and Alpro. Working in sales, category management & marketing, he realized that companies can gain tremendous speed by streamlining sales & marketing.


Eric holds a master in commercial sciences (EMS EHSAL Business School Brussels), a master in marketing (KEDGE Business School Marseille) and he graduated from the International Management Program at Vlerick Business School.


He loves lecturing at the Leuven University Association and HoGent. In his free time he works passionately in the Organisation for Children with Metabolic Diseases.

LD&Co is in charge for the coordination and delivery of the category management training for GS1 Belgium. GS1 is a global organization focused on the design and implementation of standards in the field of electronic communication between companies
